Massage therapy and equi-bow techniques are not a substitute for professional veterinary treatment,  Your equine massage therapist or bowen practitioner should work in cooperation with your licensed veterinarian.

Equine Sport Massage

Equine sports massage is the hands on massage techniques used for the following:

PREVENTS muscle and tendon injuries .

REDUCESthe strain and discomfort of training and chronic strain patterns – allows for a quicker return to maximum training levels.

ENABLES the athlete to recover more quickly from myofascial injury with less chance of chronic problems returning.

ENHANCES a preventive approach to training whereby soft tissues are free of trigger points and adhesions, thus contributing toward the improvement of peak neuromuscular functioning.

PRE-EVENT Stimulates circulation, calms nervous tension, and prepares the equine athlete for optimal performance while reducing the chances of injury.

POST-EVENT massage relieves soreness and assists in the removal of lactic acid and other waste products.

TRAINING massage focuses on the prevention of developing chronic injuries and aids in the healing process of current ones.

Equi-Bow Technique

Equi-Bow Technique is very gentle and non-invasive, yet it is incredibly effective.  specific series of muscle and connective tissue movements are incorporated to address a wide range of problems and injuries.
Every system in the body, internal organ systems as well as the musculoskeletal structure is addressed as these gentle, powerful moves send neurological impulses to the brain, which is then given time to process the information and feed impulses back to re-align the body. Equi-Bow techniques are a unique form of neuromuscular re-patterning, working primarily by addressing the muscle tissue and the nervous system on both a structural and energetic levels. CranioSacral and Feldenkrais techniques also address the nervous system to bring about change.
Perhaps one of the single most important tools we have to facilitate healing of the whole body. Held patterns of pain and physiological dysfunctions are removed by restoring the structural integrity of the body.
Respecting this feedback loop is essential to allow the body to restore its own natural balance.
Benefits are usually apparent within two to three sesssions, even when long-standing conditions are being treated. Equi-Bow results are long lasting and profound.

Equi-Bow modalities are gentle, non-invasive, hands-on, non-medical disciplines that promote self-healing in the body. The technique is designed to compliment the healing process and are not intended to replace conventional medical or veterinary healthcare.
