SIMONE USSELMAN-TOD RMT

HUMAN PRACTICE

Simone graduated in 2008 as a Registered Massage Therapist from the Advanced Standing Therapeutic Massage course at the Canadian Therapeutic College, with the goal of expanding her choice of modalities in treating her clients. Simone now incorporates soft tissue release, bowen and craniosacral techniques as well as other techniques in her massage practice.

Simone is also certified in the Bowen Therapeutic Technique with Bowen Canada, and finds that Bowen’s gentle, effective technique is extremely beneficial in her work with humans.  In contrast to working in an often invasive medical field, she is now able to use gentle, non-invasive Bowen techniques in addressing her client’s needs.Seeing the profound changes in her clients creates enthusiasm and focus in her work.

Simone’s background includes working in the traditional medical field as a Medical Radiation (X-Ray) technologist for 25 years with Hamilton Health Sciences.
Her work in this field gave her experience and a strong foundation in working with families and patients with a variety of health concerns, and has helped her in dealing with difficult issues, and stressful situations.
In 1996 she won an award for her staff and patient program “Hand in Hand”, which addressed staff and patient care issues. She now draws on these principles in her day-to-day work in her business.

“I have found a job that I love even more
than the job I have loved doing for the past 25 years.
Pain relief, comfort, and freedom of movement are the greatest gifts
a therapist can offer. It’s a win-win situation for all.”
